What is the difference between a normal BMX and a racing BMX?
A normal BMX IS a racing BMX, but I am guessing you mean the difference between a racing BMX and a stunt bike, right?
A BMX racing bike is built light in weight and has aggressive frame geometry for racing. It often has an aluminum frame and Very Light wheels to reduce drag and increase speed. The gear ratios are taller to allow higher speeds. A true BMX does not have a front brake.
A stunt bike is much heavier built to take the abuse of impacts and allow the development of inertia so the rider can do stunts at low speeds. The frame is usually steel which is necessary for strength. They are usually equipped with a cable detangler (Gyro) and pegs to allow grinding and unique maneuvers. They also generally have front and rear brakes. The gear ratio is lower than that of a BMX racing, again, to make it easier to recover from low speed maneuvers.
