When are 7-Campagnolo Nuovo Record?
I just bought a Pinarello sweet for some 80 weeks with a mix of Nuovo Record components and Gran Sport. I try to identify a year. There is a serial number, only "Pinarello" stamped on the bottom bracket, which is not helpful. It has a pinion 7-speed rear Nuovo Record. What year Campy NR a 7-speed? It moves only by friction (not indexed optional).
I know not indexed Change Nuovo Record with a wide enough to use a speed of 7 in 1974, maybe earlier, but most of motorcycles while there were 5 or 6 speeds. I also know Zeus sells 7-speed freewheels around 1973 and all its Criterium and 2000 models have the ability to use technology if it was there. There should be a series issued in the derailleur body to determine the year of manufacture.
