What’s New?

 

PS 100 Mile Triple Crown Award

 

Beginning in 2007, the PS 100 mile recognition program is offering a new award for enrolled horses that complete three designated one day 100 mile rides during the ride season.  Each year, the rides making up the Triple Crown series will vary, but will be located in the Pacific Southwest, West, or Southwest regions.  Horses completing the Triple Crown Series will receive an embroidered cooler/blanket.

 

2007 Triple Crown Rides

1. 20 Mule Team 100        February 3, 2007

2. The Main Divide 100   March 31, 2007

3. Californios 100              June 2, 2007

 

2008 Triple Crown Rides (tentative & subject to change)

 AWARD OF EXCELLENCE

Pacific Southwest Horses

 

The PS 100 mile program now offers the 100 mile Award of Excellence.  This lifetime achievement award recognizes the horse which completes 10 or more one day 100s.  There is no other mileage requirement for this award.   

 

RIDE AS A TEAM!!!!!  WIN AWARDS!!!!!

 

USA Pacific South International Endurance, Inc. (www.pacificsouth.org) in cooperation with the PS 100 mile ride managers is pleased to provide Team Awards to participating riders in the 100 mile event.     

 

Team Award Rules

The top three 100 mile teams win awards.

1.       A team is comprised of a minimum of 3, maximum of 4, individual horses and riders. 

2.       Riders must announce the team in writing prior to the start of the race and submit to the Ride Manager (sign up below)

3.       At least 3 of the 4 riders/horses must successfully complete the 100-mile course in order to qualify for a team award.

4.       The 4th and slower or non-completing member of a completing team also wins their team award

5.       1st, 2nd and 3rd place teams are ranked by combined completion times of their 3 fastest riders.

6.       If only 2 members of a team cross the finish line they are no longer a team and do not win team awards
