indoor cylce trainer?

i want to ask for an indoor trainer for x-mas. i want one that will be closest to simulating a spin bike at a spin class. i want to be able to at any given time during my work out easily increase or decrease the tension to what is required! what kind of trainer would i get? a magnetic, fluid…etc. i don’t want one that increases tension the faster you go because i want to be able to spin the wheel fast as if im going down a hill or riding on a flat road. what would be the best kind to get that won’t be crazy expensive?$ 3-400 is probably the limit in price.

Just have it ! Check any bicycle shops and shop around because this time of the year they are not busy and sometimes they give you discount 20 to 40 % , so buy good one . Trainer will last years so budgeting and buy cheap bottom line trainer is wrong in my opinion . My old trainer need to be replaced , I got 40 % for last year model so I did buy the most expensive model because I will use it in winter for years a lot . Check internet , there is plenty about the training and safe your money for something else . One rule in indoor trainer is to have comfortable room temperature , I prefer around 18 – 20 C and have plenty of water or juice to drink . Beside this I do strongly recomend to play ping pong – you need some compensation because trainer is not real bicycle and believe me or not , will slow your cycling reactions over the time down so when is time for riding the bicycle , your cyclist reaction and thinking will be faster which is for shure better for your safety . In spring time you will be in great shape and ready to ride . Going often to gym is not bad idea either . But this is it just personal preference .
