Broken wheel lock stuck on wheel?
One of my wheel locks had a crack on the face, when i tried to remove it the whole thing broke into pieces. I read that I can try hammering a 12 point socket on it to break it loose, but with majority of the lock broken (about 3/4 of it), will the socket still be able to grip on it? And if not, what else can i do before taking it to a shop?
hammer and a sharp cheisel…..my need a new stud but thats not a big deal either. Had to do it twice today myself! most of the time they crack, then just use a pair of pliars. I use my air hammer with a sharp cheisel attachment.. takes about 5 seconds..lol
PS If ya got hub caps and steel rims you can torch em off.
