Which HDR Dressage saddle is better?

I’m interested the Pro Lexus. I read a review for the Pro Buffalo, though, and it sounded good because they said it’s really cushy. I’m also considering the standard Rivella (not the Paris). I like the deep seated dressage saddles (I’m a huge fan of the Niedersuss Symphonie but can’t afford one. And my dad won’t let me buy used)
I’m getting a Thoroughbred mare, so I’d also like to know if the HDR’s pommel cuts will fit a Thoroughbred well. There aren’t any tack shops near me that carry HDR’s dressage saddles (I live in the L.A. area, and plenty stock HDR products, but only have the jump and a/p models), so that’s why I’m asking. I’ve also looked into the Toulouse dressage saddles (which I’ve also never seen in person), but I’ve heard that the leather’s thin and doesn’t hold up that well. Plus, the HDR’s have a lifetime warranty on the tree and the Toulouse have only a ten-year warranty. So, which is better, and which is the best?

You’re right T. Toulouse saddles don’t hold up well to wear (and don’t have a Very Good warranty) so I think HDR is better.

Why can’t you go used? You can find saddles in like-new condition for half the price that they are new.

As for which of the HDRs is better- get what you like and what fits your horse the best. Buffalo leather is nice, and in some cases more durable, but some people hate the look of it in person.

I’m not sure about the pommel fits of HDR saddles- you’re just going to have to order the saddle (from a place that lets you try the saddle) and have a saddle fitter check the fit. You can try having a saddle fitter out first to give you some suggestions on which brands will work for you horse.
