What is the trend for western show clothes/tack?
What is the tack, we have a nylon-ish saddle, are getting a new saddle pad, and a nylon bridle with a tom thumb bit. we have a leather bridle and can leaveon the noseband or take it off, the horse dosnt care (weve tried her in both) we can change the bit. we have almost all english bits, a twisted full cheek snaffle, a but like thi and a eggbut. we dont need a curb chain. any help would be AWESOME 
The show ring tends to be extremely expensive especially if you’re always trying to follow trends. I’d rather see functional tack in the beginning then someone trying to chase fashion.
I would invest in a matching light oil western leather saddle and headstall/bridle. I would throw the Tom Thumb bit away, I’ve been told by multiple trainers that those bits are terrible for everything except as wall decor. OR if this horse is five years and older his training should be far enough along to be outfitted in a curb bit.
Your headstall will completely on the type of bit you have. There are several styles of headstalls: Brow bands, One Ear, and Two Ear. If you ride in a snaffle you must use the brow band type headstall. If you use a curb you can use either of the three.
As far as clothes again it depends completely on the level and classes you are competing in. More information would really help us out.
