Could I get away with a GPA Speed-Air in Eq classes?

I’ve had a Charles Owen Wellington Pro for 4+ years now and have taken a couple of falls… Now I think I’m going to replace it. I really want the Speed-Air as my jumper friend has one and LOVES it. However, I do the 3’3 eq, and will probably be doing the 3’6 eq at larger shows within the time that I own the helmet.
What I’m asking is, could I use a Speed-Air in eq without losing points? If not, what helmets would be good for an oval head?
It probably depends on the judge. The Speed-Air doesn’t have a “classic” look to it at all, and some judges might not like it.
Also, I have an oval head too, and I’ve noticed that the GPA helmets don’t fit me well at all. I’ve had the best luck with International brand helmets, although their helmets don’t seem to be as popular right now as the Charles Owens and GPA’s.
