Should you remove old tack strips before new carpet is installed?
We’re having new carpet installed professionally. We removed the old carpet and pads ourselves. My boyfriend insists we remove the old tack strips but I say keep them in…
What should we do?
Leave them in. An installer will add or replace bad ones as needed. Some times they add to the side their stretching to or from to get a better hold. This is generally included right in the price of installation.
