Karl Phaler, a lifelong horseman and California native, began
endurance riding in 2005. From completing the LD at Save Our Trails in March, he has gone on to complete five 50-mile rides on his Spotted Saddle Horse, Bubba G. The pair did three of four days of the Death Valley Encounter and now have their sights set on their first 100-miler at Twenty Mule Team.
