Which charatcer in the Iliad represents war and which one represents peace?

The Iliad is said to concern the “…two poles of the human condition, war and peace.” The shield of Achilles symbolically demonstrates these polar opposites, as do the two, main characters of the epic. In a paragraph, explain which one of the two characters is representative of the term war and which is representative of the term peace. Further, explain what there is in the poem which makes you believe them to be so by providing examples.
I don’t think war and peace are represented in the Iliad in two characters. With the main characters I believe you mean Achilles and Agamemnon. But both of them were eager to fight. None of them wanted peace.
But I would like to know why you think that war and peace are represented in the Iliad.
The two main characters are Achilles and Agamemnon because Homer says so in his first paragraph. He introduces them both.
