Wow Magical Night Elf Protectors
The kaldorei/night elves (AKA “Children of the Starsâ€) became secluded at the end of the third war after a huge battle where they lost their magic, and their immortality. They are now part of the Alliance.
The night elfs are superstitious warriors with a preference for nature and animistic mystical forces. They are passionate and spiritual, and believe it is their duty to make sure the world is safe and in balance. They consider themselves “above†the others because they believe that lesser races do not live long enough to recall their past mistakes.
Here’s how their story plays out:
The magical powers of the Night Elfs come from the Well of Eternity which burns constantly and brightly. Â One night as the well was shining, Sargeras, the Dark Titan, noticed it and discovered its powers. He then decided that he wanted the powers all to himself.
Sargeras devised a plan to fool the elfs by portraying himself to be a mighty God and convincing the most powerful night elf, Azshara, Â to let him into their race to bless them. As being blessed by a God is always a good thing, the elfs began to build a large portal that would be big enough for Sargaras to get in.
As they trusted him more, he began to take advantage of their trust, sending emissaries (actually demons of the Burning Legion) to help. Work progressed, and the portal was near completion when Malfurion and a small band of WOW night elfs discovered that his plan could destroy them.
After his plan was foiled, Sargeras started the war upon Azeroth, which destroyed the original, night elfs. In their attempt to prevent the return of the Burning Legion by destroying Nordrassil, they had to sacrifice their immortality. Now they are in Kalimodor trying to rebuild what they lost.
Be careful when entering Kalimodor – the WOW night elf territory. They had to sacrifice much to get where they are. And, even though they are a peaceful race, they do not take well to strangers. Many a warrior has gotten an arrow in the chest from a night elf protector.
