Anyone use a “rack system” for their snakes?
I just ran into a good deal (I thought) on Kingsnake for (3) ’07 50% possible het pied females for $300 shipped, so I bought them. They were from a breeder by the name of Tom from TMC Reptiles. I have a 100% het pied male that I would eventually like to try breeding them to.
I also own a normal female.
So now, I will have 5 snakes and only 2 tanks! I was wondering about the rack system. Does anyone out there use it? It seems kind of mean to me, like you are just filing them in a bedroom drawer or something. Does anyone else view it this way? I would rather the racks be clear so the snakes can see out and I can view them. Does this exist? Where should I buy from?
Thanks for your help.

I have never owned a kingsnake. just balls and corns. They are both nice. It probably just depends on the individual snake.
i always prefer seperate cages, but i know that almost all breeders use that system. it’s a lot easier and less exspensive. you can always devide the cages for the time being, and then try to figure out a good way to house your snakes. i think you could you some big rubbermede, clear plastic bins. they are made to stack, are easy to cut, and are large enough to house a snake. the only the thing i would worry about with the rack system is the lighting. if you aren’t to picky about lights, then the rack system should be perfectly fine for your snakes. don’t worry about the bins or whatever being clear, the snakes like the privacy. and i have a question for you. are albino kingsnakes nice? i was thinking about getting a baby, but i’m not sure.
