What type of backyard birds that has a yellow breast and why does it pull blooms off of flowers?

There are several types of backyard birds that are yellow-breasted. Some build nests and some prefer houses. Some are found in just the eastern portion of the states and some are found all over. Knowing where you live would have helped a bit.

I guess the most common is the Yellow-breasted Chat.
