How to fit a saddle and other tack?

Hi,
I was just wondering if any body knew how to fit a girth, stirrups and saddle. For the girth i was wondering how do you know if the girth is to lose or to tight? Every time i start to ride my stirrups are always to long how can i tell before i get on what length they should be on? The saddle just wanted to know where the english saddle should sit on the horses back??

girth – you tighten it as much as u can behind the legs and pick up the horses front hooves to check if the girth is to far forward wich will cause the girth to pinch i had loads of troubles when i started 2 =] and make sure that the girth on both sides is as evan as you can get the holes and befor you mount pull as hard as u can on the girth clip thingy =] as tight as u can and with the other one pull it to make it tieght bu it dosint have to be super tight becuase the saddle slips back as you move

The English saddle is used throughout the world for all styles of English riding. They are specifically designed to be much lighter so they don’t interfere with the horse’s freedom to move quickly.
You will want to start on the left (“near”) side.
Begin by placing a saddle pad or pommel pad three to four inches ahead of where you want the saddle and pad to rest while riding
To avoid trouble later, run the stirrup irons up the stirrup leather.
Remove the girth completely, or you can lay it over the seat to make sure it doesn’t get in the way.
Gently lower the saddle onto the horse’s back so the front rests near the upper-rear edge of the horse’s shoulder blades.
Make sure the pad is properly lined up around the edges of the saddle.3
Slide the saddle back so it rests behind the horse’s shoulder blades
Walk around to the right “off” side of the horse, and bring the girth down
Attach the straps and then return to the left side and fasten the straps so they are secure
Your hand should fit snugly between the secured girth and the horse’s belly
Check the gullet to make sure it’s not putting pressure on the withers.
Lift and stretch the horse’s legs to make sure there is no pinched skin.

stirups-

well this is the easy one =D put ur hand were the star of the stirups leather is then put ur arm out and put ur stirup iron in ur armpit =] and that should be right but if ur not so sure put it down one hoel and insted of geting off the horse to change the length of it simply move ur leg back so its out of the way and pull it out and count how amny holes u had and adjust it to wat hole u wont it then count the holes u ajust it to pull it back again then make sur ethe leather isnt twisted aand test it and then do the same with other side

and recently i just learnt this 2 =p but i had soemoen to help =]

but when you frist get ur gear like saddle you will wont to go to ur tack store with ur horse or ahve someone come out and fit it to the horse and same with a second hand saddle

bridles and grith are more simpler u might need help with the bridle tho and with the girth measur the with of the horses stomach from the holes of the saddle each side but if its ur frist time its better to gert someone to do it for u =]

And my stirrup flies off my saddle.
