Can you be broken for life as a small child?
The only good memory I have from childhood I had with my real parents was before I started school. We were on vacation in Mexico and my Mom was buying all kinds of souveniers, like little statues, and plants and a bullwhip and I thought it was all just cool stuff from Mexico…
But then when I was in Kindergarten, I turned on the hose and tried to fill the pool on a hot summer day and she caught me beat my legs with that whip. It hurt so bad because I didn’t ask permission.
After that I hust remember crying and going to the hospital, and I lived with strangers after that.
Neither of them ever came to get me.
I am sorry you were abused as a child. You, like many of us are a survivor of abuse. Be thankful you did not have to ever go back to the people who hurt you. Can you imagine what it would have been like to live with abuse day after day, week after week? I know what it was like to be subjected to that and it is something I will never forget as long as I live. I know what a huge difference it made on my life and I vowed that I would never abuse a child and I have seen that come to fruition. You must realize that the abuse you were subjected to had nothing to do with you but had everything to do with your Mother. Please get some therapy. And in answer to your question: Yes you can be broken for life but being well is a much better alternative. THERE IS HOPE!
